Obituary

Ocala - Jane A. Norman, 90, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Estelle's Hospice House. She was born in Atkinson, GA and had been a resident of Ocala for the past 53 years. She was a retired beautician and was a member of the Woodside Baptist Church of Ocala. She also loved organic gardening, knitting, sewing and her family. Her vegetable soup will be missed by half of the male class of 1964 of Ocala High. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Scott and her husband, Robert of Kensington, Conn. and Gail Stevens and her husband, Jerry of Ocala; her son, John Norman of Bradenton; her daughter-in-law, Sandy Norman of TN; her grandchildren, Schantz, Shannon, Danielle, Dustin, Ethan, and Audrey and her eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Norman, and her son, Billy Norman. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. Burial will be at Dunnellon Memorial Gardens in Dunnellon, FL. Those who wish may make donations to Hospice of Marion County.
